This morning I was watching the Today Show and they had a family on there that had a sever year old daughter that was fighting cancer. She has a brain tumor and is currently a patient at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This is truly an amazing hospital that is designed to give all children the best treatment possible while fighting these horrible diseases. According to Wikipedia, St Jude was founded by Danny Thomas in 1962 on the premise that "no child should die in the dawn of life." Families that have children with these horrible illnesses should not have to worry about how they are going to pay for the treatments that their children need to stay alive. This hospital is doing amazing work for children that so desperately need their help to win there battles against disease. I know that once I graduate from college that I want to be able to support this hospital. They are doing so much good and I would love to contribute as much as I could to the research they are doing.
